I bought this in-store and browsed all the "historic inks" by Cornelissen and explained to the staff that I need waterproof ink as I'd be putting wet washes of watercolor on top of it. The chart the store says this ink is "water resistant" unlike certain colors which I do not need that say "water proof" and I pointed that out but the staff said they're the same & guaranteed the ink when dry would withstand bleeding. Alas, I come home and it is not water proof nor resistant, it just bleeds with my watercolours so I cant use it for my original needs. Quite frustrating but in any case, it's fine as a drawing ink. I just love this ink. Hard to put a value on it really as it is so expensive but so wonderful. It has a wonderful gleaming quality and a rich colour. I just wish I had splashed out on a litre of it as I have just realised that the 60 ml bottle works out at over £130 a litre!!!!! Last time I had a litre and it lasted me over a decade, so I thought 60 ml would be enough but it makes me too careful of not wasting it, which always hinders creativity! (Posted on 28/01/2020)
