Shipping Information

UPS Ground and US Priority Mail 
The chart below represents shipping charges for US Priority Mail or UPS Ground to all 48 contiguous States. Whenever possible, we try to use the US Post Office, they are very reliable, economical and very quick. Larger packages and packages that require insurance will be shipped by UPS. We ship a lot of paper and we have found that whenver possible it is best to ship paper rolled. It is not very well known, but UPS charges can get quite high for flat shipments because shipping is calculated based on the box size and not its weight. We have found that rolled papers are also less susceptible to damage by careless delivery people. However, if you request that your papers are to be shipped flat, we will gladly accomodate and charge the additional cost to your order.
Expedited Shipments 
We can also ship by next day, second day or third day air through various carriers. Charges for expedited shipments vary greatly because they depend on the package's destination, weight and also it's dimensions. These variations make it impossible to calculate the shipping charges until the order is actually packed, measured and weighed. Therefore, all expedited packages must be calculated and charged separately.
Shipments Outside the US 
We are happy to ship packages internationally. We work with all carriers however our experience has shown that the most economical method is through the US Post Office. The post office offers, International Express, Global Priority and Air Parcel Post. We suggest that you allow us to select the most economical method. We also work with Federal Express and UPS however, please be aware that they impose additional charges for export documentation and often result in extra charges for customs and duties.
Import Duties
Several countries but not all, charge a duty tax on the import of art supplies. Please contact your country's customs office to determine if your shipment is subject to duties and if so how much. Duties and brokerage fees are your responsibility. We have been asked on several occassions to falsify documents to show a lower value on the shipment. We will not accommodate these requests, we will not jeopardize our export license by falsifying documentation.
Extra Large Packages
We ship easels in all sizes. Sometimes these easels can be shipped by UPS and occassionally they are too big and must be shipped by truck. The shipping charges for these larger items are often listed in their description. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us by email


All prices are shown in GB Pounds Sterling inclusive of UK VAT at the current rate. Orders outside the EU are free from UK VAT.

Your order is confirmed when you receive an automated order confirmation. This signals that your order has passed through the payment gateway successfully and is in our system.

When purchasing large quantities of goods please email or phone a member of the sales team for advice and help.

Dispatch of Goods

The website will calculate delivery costs for online orders. We aim to dispatch orders within 5 working days.  We endeavour to keep you fully informed on the progress of your order.  If a product is out of stock a member of the sales team will be in touch as soon as possible to arrange a refund or to offer an alternative where possible.

On receipt of goods, if the parcel is damaged then please sign for the goods as damaged before opening. If there is damage we request that you keep all packaging and photograph the box showing the damage as it appears from the outside. This will help with any claim placed with the courier company.

Shipping Terms

Our standard shipping incoterms terms are DAP (Delivered At Place). This means that for shipments to countries outside the UK the recipient will be liable for any import taxes and tariffs levied locally. These are not the responsibility of the sender, and are not covered in any shipping charge we make.

Your Shipment

Packages are generally dispatched with one of the following services:

DHL Trackable Next Working Day Service. UK mainland only (Orders for long distance delivery may take longer)

Royal Mail Special Delivery Signed For service. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm next working day from the date of dispatch. Parcels insured for up to £500. Orders must be received before noon and confirmed with Cornelissen by telephone.

Air Mail Standard Orders dispatched by Air Mail standard are not trackable and therefore we are not responsible for any loss or delays from the point of dispatch. We advise customers overseas wishing to place high value orders to select either International Signed For Service with Extra Compensation or UPS.

International Signed For Delivery times depend on destination. Orders dispatched by International Signed For are traceable only until they reach country of destination. We are not responsible for any loss or delays once your parcel has reached your country and has been forwarded to your local postal services.

Royal Mail International Signed For service with Extra Compensation Similar to International Signed For service but with additional insurance.  In the event of a claim for loss or damage parcels are covered for up to £200 depending on the country. Customers in South Africa should contact us for advice.

DHL Trackable and insured method for orders in the UK and worldwide. Delivery time for European orders is 3-7 working days from date of dispatch. UK mainland next working day, worldwide orders take from 4-10 working days.

Additional Charges: We reserve the right to levy additional shipping charges, at our discretion, for over-size packages and addresses that attract additional charges from our shippers. In all cases you will be contacted prior to shipping to obtain your consent for additional charges.

Service Upgrade: If you require Express or timed delivery by DHL an additional cost will be applied. Please contact us by phone or email if you would like to have the delivery of your order upgraded. It may not always be possible to dispatch it in time, and this will depend on when we receive your order. In these cases we will keep you informed about the progress of your order. We will provide you with a link to track your package online.

Shipping Fees: Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as postage costs. Handling fees are fixed, whereas transport fees vary according to the total weight of the shipment. We advise you to group your items together in one order. We cannot combine two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them.

Return of Goods

Cancellation: If for some reason you wish to return your goods please cancel in writing (via letter, fax or email) within seven working days of receipt of the goods. The customer will be required to cover the cost of return of the goods. Goods should be returned in saleable condition.

Faulty goods/damaged goods: Please inform us in full as soon as possible and within seven days of receipt of the goods to arrange return. The cost of the goods and carriage will be repaid in full once we have confirmed the goods are faulty or damaged.

Refunds will be made within 30 days and by the same method as payment.


In partnership with our secure payment Gateway supplier we follow the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). You credit card details will not be seen by anyone at Cornelissen or our payment gateway. Any data provided is treated in compliance with the PCI DSS standard. Information given to us via other methods is always treated in the strictest of confidence. Your details will not be released to third parties.

Age Restricted Items

By accepting our terms and conditions you are agreeing that you are over the age of 18 and are able to purchase restricted items such as knives, blades, solvents and propellant based sprays and varnishes.
