Made in small batches and blended to give the required consistency and strength. Fully waterproof in 5-7 days. Permanent and Lightfast. Steeped for several weeks and left to ‘mature’ for several more in the bottle before first use this is an ‘aged’ ink. When used on animal skin, oak gall ink reacts with collagen, due to its acidic nature, and effectively ‘etches’ itself into the surface of the skin.
Ingredients: English oak galls, red wine, Gum Arabic, Iron(II)sulphate and cloves.
