Japanese Gold Leaf

Highest quality Japanese gold leaf manufactured in Japan by craftspeople with traditions that have been handed down for generations. Large Uwazumi leaves are further beaten and cut by hand into Enzuke or Tachikiri (contemporary) leaves, Enzuke between sheets of washi paper called furuya-gami, which results in a subtle grid pattern that appears on the surface of the leaves, and Tachikiri between sheets of glassine paper, resulting in a bright lustrous gilded finish.
