Having had one of these for around 35 years, I had misplaced it, thankful to see that it was still available and ordered it. Now I do notice somewhat oddly that the grip points are quite wide one the new tool and reading the previous review there is a mention of plastic grips, there are none in my new tool, just the hardened metal holding grip. Fortunately I have found my old tool and I do notice that the grips are much finer and will accommodate quite fine wire. What has happened here? I'll need to source some silver thick stubs to be able to use the new tool, Hey ho perhaps that is a new way to go but I do like a finer tipped tool. Apart from that fundamental clawback, it is well made but not particularly useful at the moment! Thanks for continuing to stock it but perhaps you do need to look into this problem. Thank you. Arrived promptly and well packaged. The Metalpoint Holder is made of metal and is strong and solid and comfortable to grip. I have a slight concern that the plastic jaws that hold the wire inside the holder might not be that strong. Used with care I guess it should be ok. Overall very pleased indeed. (Posted on 27/01/2018)
