- Stunningly intense pigment Review by John
-
I have used this in Tempera, Oil, Alkyds, Acrylics and watercolour. and it is a brilliant pigment. It is a bit stringy to start , but works up to a lovely, even intense blue. When used in glazes it builds the most intense blue, which acts as a great foil against gold or pale yellows (nickle or barium yellows). Absolutely brilliant. Great flocculation as a watercolour on Rough paper. (Posted on 03/04/2019)Value Quality Price - Lovely colour but very hard to work for pastels Review by Robert

This is a difficult pigment to make pastel sticks with as it is either too dry or too wet. Even with great care a 100% pigment stick is a very tricky proposition. Mixed with a filler it's lovely. While living in London I visited this beautiful place to buy several pigments, among which this beautiful, intense Ultramarine Blue Dark. I must say all their pigments are of the highest quality, probably even better than those one can find in other famous European art shops — such as Zecchi in Florence. Prices are absolutely honest and all staff is very kind. (Posted on 28/12/2013)Price Value Quality
