I bought the 8 half pan tin box and have 12 half pans of gouache in it for plein air sketching. It’s ideal and if others say they can get 15 W&N half pans into the box I’m now on the hunt for those. It is a little larger than my W&N Bijou box that I have for watercolours but it’s very easy to travel with both sets for choice. Many thanks. (Posted on 27/03/2021)

I have the 8 Half Pans with water container and it actually holds 14 half pans if you use empty Winsor Newton half pans, which are smaller for whatever reason. The only downside is the black paint chipped away on the first day where the cap slides on and off. (Posted on 24/08/2020)

Compact and solidly made. The 8-half-pan box can carry 12 half pans securely without them rattling around. Length and width about the same as a credit card and just as easy to carry. Much better value than the lightweight tin boxes, and I'm planning to get a second one soon (Posted on 18/06/2018)
