Liquid Glass Mediums

Liquid Glass Mediums

Product Review (submitted on 2 October 2011):
I've been looking for a glaze medium for years that suits the way I paint. The other mediums on the market are either too thin or dry too fast. This medium gives the most wonderful richness to the paint, and when I paint back into it the colours blend together beautifully but without over mixing. If your looking for that depth and luminosity as you see in rembrandt of Vermeer, then this does it perfectly. The fact that the recipe comes from the 16th century makes it even more appealing. I've attended workshops at Dr Cranswick's studio in West London (who makes this medium), the teaching is excellent, taking you step by step through the stages of renaissance painting methods, this include learning how to grind your own paints, stretching and sizing a canvas, how to do an under painting, glazing methods (using the liquid glass medium), chiaroscuro, colour mixing and much much more. Highly recommended.
