Leonardt Round Hand Nibs

Leonardt Round Hand Nibs

Product Review (submitted on 10 April 2016):
I ordered one nib of each size and ten reservoirs. The nins are of a thinner material than the Brause Bandzugfedern, and are as a result of this very flexible. I prefer the design of the Leonardt over that of the Brause nibs because the reservoirs of the first are much easier to clean than the Brause nibs. Another advantage of the Leonardt nibs over Brause are the sharper outside corners of the first lending to a sharper line in most cases. The main complaint I have is to the tines. On two of the nibs the tines had too much air between, and another of these was slightly crooked. On two other nibs the tines were close together, restricting the flow of ink to the page. The inner corners of the tines, being crooked on a few of the nibs, are very sharp and cut the paper. All of these problems can be corrected of course, but that's not something you expect that you'll have to do before you can start writing with the nibs. I can't imagine that this is the case with all of the nibs as Leonardt and the Manuscript Pen Company are well reputed companies. So this lack of quality must be an isolated case.
