All the earth colours are so easy to make. For years I've bought ready made tubes, but now that brands are asserting their high pigment quality, why not go back to how the great painters pre 1870, made their paints, mainly by hand with a muller? You know then you're getting a pure product at vastly reduced costs. And this burnt sienna is one of a handful of earths that is so easy to make, it binds very easily with the cold pressed linseed oil.
