Length 190 mm. Hand-forged from silver bullion to form two gradually tapered points (which can be easily re-sharpened with fine sandpaper) and a copper-alloy brass body. It is entirely hand-forged with traditional methods in the craft tradition of Medieval and Renaissance Europe and is faithfully based on the silverpoint stylus depicted in Saint Luke Drawing the Virgin, by Rogier van der Weyden (see illustration).
Silverpoint drawing is drawing with a silver point which leaves a metallic trace on a pigmented ground.
