I’ve been struggling to find buckthorn derived pigments when I spotted this one and thought I’d give it a go. The fine powder mixes really well with a little water and casein and goes on very smoothly. You may need several coats as it is a very pale yellow-green once it dries.
I am also using it to dye a clothlet for use with a medieval pigment display. I’m now several dips in and it’s working a treat. (Posted on 25/07/2021)
